AH_c77e64e9-67b3-11f0-b70f-00155d8c3204 Battle Penguins” is the nickname of Ukrainian polar researchers — scientists who once studied climate, oceans, melting glaciers, and wildlife at the Akademik Vernadsky Antarctic station. After the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war began, many of them joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Their story inspired us to create this embroidered patch. It features a determined penguin with the phrase “Born to chill,” a line that can be read in two ways:
“born for the cold” — a nod to polar science and the reality of global warming;
“born to relax” — a military slang expression with a touch of self-irony. But this character on the patch carries a real mission as well: 50 UAH from each patch supports the actual “Battle Penguins.”Buying the patch means supporting those who once explored Antarctica — and now protect Ukraine.
